Knightsbridge MOT Testing Centre
At Knightsbridge, we have fully trained technicians to help ensure that your car is carefully inspected to remain safe on the road. Our team will guide you through the process of obtaining a new car MOT and, should it fail, we'll give you an accurate assessment of what's needed to ensure it passes. Our in-store technicians can perform any work necessary to ensure your car meets the MOT requirements, and you will be given a quotation prior to any work commencing.
Don't forget that all cars, after three years of their original registration date, require a car MOT by law. You can MOT your car one month before your current certificate expires and the balance will be added to you
What does a car MOT test check involve?
It's essentially to check that your car is safe to be on the road. The actual test takes around an hour and includes comprehensive checks of the tyres, brakes, lights, steering system, suspension and emission levels. If your vehicle passes, a new car MOT (VT20 pass certificate) will be issued. Should it fail, you will receive a VT30 fail certificate and a form which shows the work required to bring the vehicle up to the legally required standard.
In some instances an advisory note may also be issued. This shows items that, whilst legal at the point of test, certain items are nearing the end of their serviceable life and will probably need to be replaced before your next MOT.
